Our History
In 1952, Richard H. Wheeler and Florence E. Wheeler purchased 45 acres outside of the city of Roy, Washington.
Both being from the inter city of Tacoma, Washington, they (along with their three children) were drawn to agricultural farming and the raising of animals.
In the early days of the farm, sheep were the first agricultural product to be raised. The sheep helped clear much of the property with little or no machinery.
In 1975, their youngest son, Martin L. Wheeler began to transform the original farm from animal sciences to row crop production which included cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, vine crops, greenhouses, flowers, and strawberry red rhubarb.
In 2000, a decision was made to move the entire Oak Hills Vegetable Farms, Inc and its headquarters to Fall City, Washington. Not only is this area known for its beautiful cascade mountains and the famous Snoqualmie Falls, it is also known for its highly enriched agricultural soil and for being an agricultural production district.
We look forward to you enjoying the fruits of our labors. We have worked for over 65 years in the production and agricultural services.
